Wedding FAQ's

How many photographs do you take during a Wedding?

This varies depending on your chosen Collection. Typically for The Main Collection, which is from the Bride getting ready to the first dance, I would take approx. 450-550 photographs. These are then all expertly edited and you are presented with approx. 350-450 photographs.

How many photographs can I choose for my album?

Each Collection has a set number of photographs included in the price. However, you can have as many as you wish with additional photographs costing £10 each.

Can we buy photographs to hang on the wall?

Of course. There are loads of options here: contemporary frames, canvasses, acrylic frames to mention just a few.

Do you do Parents and Guest albums?

Again there are loads of options here from duplicate copies of your main album in various sizes to individually designed albums and books.

Do you enhance the photographs in any way?

All your photographs are taken digitally using professional digital cameras and lenses. Each photograph is digitally processed my myself to ensure the best quality. In addition to this the photographs selected for your album are also retouched to remove blemishes etc. This is all provided at no additional cost.

What is a "Viewing Experience"?

Soon after you come back from your Honeymoon you will be shown a slideshow of all your wedding photographs on a large screen and usually set to music. I do not show anyone else your photographs or put them on your web gallery until you have seen them. After the initial slideshow you select the photographs for your album. This usually happens at your home and you should allow yourselves 4-5 hours.

What is a 'Proof' disc?

Every couple is supplied with a 'proof' disc which contains all your photographs for viewing on your PC. The photographs are all contained in one file and this disc is for viewing only. High Resolution images are available as an additional cost item.

Do you supply high resolution digital images?

High Resolution digital images are available as an additional cost item and this curently costs £250 for all your images. The images include the rights to use them for your own personal use. I never sell the copyright - please don't ask.
Slideshow discs and DVD's are also available with some or all of your photographs set to music. Please ask for a demo.

How would you describe your photographic style?

I would say it is a mixture of classic and contemporary posed photographs, informal candid photographs and the 'traditional group' photographs if these are required. I like to spend a minimum of 30 minutes with the Bride and Groom on their own, longer would be better!. For the group shots you should allow approx. 5 mins per photo. You need to schedule these times into your day. During our consultation meetings before your wedding we will draw up a schedule and a list of 'got to have' shots as well as a list of group photographs if required.

Who takes my photographs?

All your photographs are taken myself, Ian Stacey. I am a full time professional photographer and a qualified member of the Society for Wedding and Portrait Photographers. My wife, Sarah also assists at most weddings, organising groups, fluffing up dresses etc.

How far do you travel?

Most of the weddings I do are in East Anglia and into Bedfordshire and Lincolnshire. However I will travel anywhere in the UK and other destinations if required. For weddings over a seventy five mile radius from my home address travel expenses will be charged. Mileage is charged at 40p per mile and depending on the location overnight stays may also be charged at cost.
